Jenny Sullivan discovers she is the evolved version of an originally created counterpart. Jenny needs to pass a viability test of existence worthiness, a test her created counterpart failed millions of years beforehand. The fate of humanity and all life on Earth depends on it. There are creating, testing, and judging shapeshifters involved in 16-year-old Jenny’s test. The test is highly unusual and remarkably challenging, and it takes place in a compendium of alternative realities and mind stretching scenarios.

Jenny finds herself initially experiencing jaunts back to the Second World War before travelling to a planet in another galaxy. And travelling deeper still as part of her test, she finds herself adventuring into some alternative realities with some related to fictional media (some of which exist in her world and are her favourites).

During Jenny’s jaunts back to the Second World War, she cannot but help notice some unusual fruits. She is gifted some of these unusual fruits and discovers they give her special powers, powers which she will need if she is to pass her viability test of existence worthiness. She also has some entertaining allies– a schoolgirl from way in the future, and an inimitably comedic younger schoolgirl from her school, to name a few. Can Jenny pass her test and save humanity?

Note: If you are well into reading, the best warm-up for this novel may be to read The Tunnel under the World by Frederick Pohl; the Castle of Adventure by Enid Blyton; Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes; 1984 By George Orwell and The Time Machine by H. G. Wells. All feature as part of Jenny’s viability test. Of course, reading these works is not necessary to gain a full enjoyment of the story. This is sci-fi like no other. Lots of sci-fi, fun, laughs and jeopardy lie in wait for the reader. A magical reading experience Dive in!
