Book 1 of the Britland Calling quartet introduces 7-year-old Logan, his mother and some quirky characters. It also charts genius 13-year-old Tommy’s incredible journey through Time, Space and Dream in his bottom-of-the-garden-spaceship. This journey is read from a book read by to Logan by his mother. Tommy meets many Space Bodies on his journey on his way, such as intelligent speaking planets and moons, the dangerous Mr Sun, and the dastardly ghost dark matter black holes. He is journeying to the planet Thear, which is similar to Earth with the same street and buildings. But the seas are green and the lands are blue (such as the leaves and the grass). Even more bizarrely, the inhabitants are humans as well as living toys.
